Therapeutic approach to intensive home-based services

Areas of Practice

IFS has grown and evolved with various programs, yet has maintained its central focus on the needs of clients and families.  We successfully operated the Family Program in partnership with TANF, whose objective was specifically to reduce the number of families depending on TANF in partnerchip with Self Sufficiency at ODHS.  Other Child Welfare programs have included ISRS In Home Safety and Reunification Services, In-home Intensive Therapy, a Stability and Employment Pilot, a Teen Pregnancy Prevention program that was over 98% successful, and a group-focused Sexual Abuse Treatment programs.  There have been additional programs over the years, both with Child Welfare and Self Sufficiency Program.

Our services are driven by the needs of individual client families.  We involve community resources and frequently accompany clients to school meetings, mental and physical health appointments, and other appointments related to their personal welfare.  The time-intense, creative and flexible program structure allows us to help individuals and families become safe, stable, and self-sufficient.  In doing so, we also help the local communities; as stable families and stable communities go hand in hand.
